About LEADS

LEADS is a transdisciplinary program for undergraduate students that aims to inspire innovative thinking and to contribute to the development of creative problem solvers, imaginative leaders, and engaged citizens who are well prepared for wherever their future endeavors take them. LEADS programming is embedded in special LEADS classes offered each semester where you learn by doing.

LEADS provides opportunities to:

  • Develop valuable career skills transferable to a wide range of settings
  • Gain real-world experience including course-based internships
  • Cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset exemplified by initiative, critical questioning, problem solving, creativity, and adaptability
  • Make connections and expand your network
  • Broaden perspectives

LEADS is for you.

Whether you are a new freshman, a continuing student, or a transfer student, LEADS has a class for you. Your involvement is flexible and tailored to your interests and needs. If you choose to complete 10 credit hours of LEADS classes, you may earn the LEADS certificate in Innovative Thinking and Problem Solving.
