Register for CHES/COSC 2600

Continuing and transfer students are invited to take CHES/COSC 2600, offered each spring. This one-credit-hour course complements any major and is designed for freshmen and sophomores. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore your potential, map out your personalized professional development plan, and engage in creative problem solving. You will have the option to take additional LEADS courses in future semesters and, if you wish, you may earn the LEADS certificate focused on applied learning, innovative problem solving, and career skill development.

Register for LEADS electives

For students with 30 or more earned credit hours, LEADS electives are offered as CHES/COSC 3000 and through departments in the Klein College of Science and the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences. LEADS electives can be used to fulfill requirements for the LEADS Certificate in Leadership, Innovation, Technology, and Diversity but the classes are open to any interested student, regardless of whether you are pursuing the certificate option. The topics for LEADS electives rotate each semester and are offered from credit ranging from 1 – 3 hours and in the full term and partial term.

Some recent CHES/COSC 3000 offerings include:

  • Designing Your Life
  • Your Authentic Self: The New Leader
  • Ideas to Action: Making an Impact
  • Becoming Climate Catalysts
  • Innovative Thinking and Problem Solving
  • The Art of Collaboration
  • LEADS Course-Based Internships

Klein College of Science and the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences departments also offer electives courses  that are LEADS-designated
